• Sign-in and sign-out no longer stalls: Previously, signing animals in or out on the list-mode page could occasionally show a spinner that never resolved—especially at shelters with many animals. The operation now completes in under a second and the card updates instantly, no matter how many animals are on the page.
• Per-card error handling in list mode: If one animal's details fail to load, only that card shows an error with a retry button. The rest of the page continues working normally.
• Logout reliability: Logging out no longer shows a stuck spinner; you are redirected to the login page immediately.
• Case-insensitive email sign-in: Signing in now works regardless of how you capitalize your email address.
• Global settings: Choose which external system supplies the A# column in list mode when animals have more than one id. Updating Card image style no longer overwrites unrelated organization settings.
• Color codes: Saving changes in color management updates the table right away, and list mode and animal profiles for animals using that color refresh so behavior colors and details match what you saved.
• Assessment due indicators line up with new assessment records and read consistently across list mode and animal profiles (time left, Past due, or hidden when the current due period is satisfied).
• Species data: Overview cards spell out active animals and how averages use that count. Download completed enrichment sessions as CSV from species management (pick a date range). Animal-type statistics CSV exports include a short summary of filters you had applied.
• Medical reports include a Daily urine and stool table—latest stool and urine per animal per UTC calendar day—and urine appears on the evaluation timeline with stool.
• Password requirements for password reset, creating an account from an invite, and when an admin creates a user: at least 8 characters and at least one number or symbol.
• Default roles on existing organizations were updated so Human types and Special needs permissions match the matrix (fewer surprise “access denied” messages for standard Admin, Staff, and Volunteer roles).
• Client-side errors in the dashboard can surface more specific failure details when something goes wrong, instead of only a generic message.
• Dashboard tables: Long lists are easier to move through—first and last page shortcuts, a Go to page box with Go, and pagination that stacks cleanly on smaller screens.
• Dashboard navigation: The sidebar open/close control stays visible at the top of the main work area while you scroll, and long sidebar menus scroll inside the sidebar so the layout stays stable.
• After checkout: Completing a new subscription refreshes your organization’s app and billing views so the correct plan and access show up right away, without stale pages from before purchase.

• Refreshed sidebar design: The dashboard sidebar has a cleaner, more professional look with a refined color palette, simplified backgrounds, and consistent spacing throughout. Active and hover states are smoother and easier to read, with improved contrast for better accessibility.
• Feedback: Use Feedback in the dashboard sidebar to report a bug or share a suggestion. Your message is sent to the Shelter Sense team with your name, email, and organization so we can follow up in context.
• Email header copy: Invites, access requests, and “added to organization” messages now show the line Purpose-built for animal shelters in the email header instead of the previous tagline.

• What's new: A dedicated Release notes page on the marketing site, links in the header, mobile menu, and footer, and a What's new dialog when you sign in and from the dashboard sidebar—so you can see what changed without leaving your workflow.
• Notifications: A new notification bell in the sidebar shows unread alerts. Tenant admins receive a notification when someone requests to join their organization. View all notifications on a dedicated page where you can mark them as read individually or all at once.
• No-organization onboarding: Users who sign up or accept an invite but don't yet belong to an organization now see a guided checklist to help them get started—subscribe to a plan, join an existing shelter, or explore account settings.
• Faster sign-in and sign-out: The list-mode sign-in and sign-out experience is noticeably faster. After tapping Sign Out or Sign In, the animal card updates without a full page reload, so the workflow feels more responsive on busy days.
• Faster page loads across the app: Returning to the dashboard or navigating between pages after a mutation (e.g., saving settings or completing an enrichment session) is quicker because the app no longer re-fetches every sidebar link on each update.
